ABOUT US
The PETstock Foundation was established to provide a mechanism to increase the bond between families and their animals
by improving the quality of life.
We are part of the PETstock family and the board is representative of people who have a passion for animals and how they
interact with humans.
The PETstock Foundation was inaugurated in August 2007. The Board of Directors bring a broad range of expertise to the PETstock Foundation with a goal to minimise overhead for maximum benefit.
ROBERT SIDDLE - PRESIDENT
Robert is the General Manager of Hotkey Internet Services Pty Ltd. He is also a partner in the PETstock South Melbourne
Franchise. Robert serves as a Director on a number of companies including Global Fortress, SpidrWeb.net and Synectico,
all of which operate in the communications industry. Robert is also the Treasurer of the South Melbourne Business
Association, which is a not for profit traders association, which promotes the South Melbourne business district.
SHANE YOUNG - VICE PRESIDENT
Shane is the Founder and CEO of PETstock Pty Ltd, Australia’s leading Retailer of Pet Feed and Supplies. Shane opened
his first store in Ballarat as a 19 year old in regional Victoria and now oversees the running and development of the 60
PETstock stores that operate today across Australia. The PETstock Group is proud to be a major employer – with over 500
staff members helping to promote the passion that Shane has for promoting responsible animal ownership. Shane and the
team at PETstock actively support the foundation and their goals within their mission statement.
MATTHEW BAYLES - TREASURER & SECRETARY
Matthew acts as Chief Financial Officer for PETstock Pty Ltd. He has been with the PETstock finance department since
March 2005. Matthew has previously worked in public practice with small business having graduated from Deakin University
in 1997 with a commerce degree and completing his CPA in 2001. He also maintains an active role as a partner & director
of Ballarat accounting and financial planning practice "Business & Wealth Solutions".
ANDREW GIBBS
Andrew comes from a finance and consulting background having joined Ernst and Young in 1998 with his key expertise lying
in business transformation, including process re-engineering for Shared Services and Supply Chain Management. Andrew
has worked in various industries including manufacturing, banking and finance, aerospace, mining and retail. He has had
an involvement in the pet and produce industry since 1999 and took on the management of Mackay’s in 2005 resulting in
the transformation of the Mackay’s stores to PETstock Braeside and PETstock Mornington in 2006 and PETstock Somerville
in 2008.
ANDREW DARBYSHIRE
Andrew is the Founder and Owner of Pacsoft Australia and Pacsoft USA, world leading developer of software systems for
retailers. Andrew has had extensive small business and public company experience. He is a member of the Committee for
Melbourne. Board member of the Song Room, a charity that provides music and arts education to over 40,000 children a
year throughout Australia. He developed the concept to build an annex to the Melbourne Zoo within the new children’s
hospital in Melbourne. He is the founder of Caitlin's Fund at the Howard Florey Research Institute in memory of his
daughter Caitlin who passed away as a result of a brain tumour at the age of 8. Caitlin's Fund raises funds for research
into child related brain conditions. He also foundered Caitlin’s Retreat a short stay respite facility for special needs
children and their families on the banks of the Yarra at Eltham.
STUART LUSCOMBE
Stuart comes from a retail management and finance background having joined Coles supermarkets 1998 as a retail trainee.
Stuart left Coles in 2005 to start up his own PETstock franchise. Stuart has completed a bachelor of Business management.
Stuart serves as a Director of Electric Dreams Entertainment, a locally based company in the City of Whittlesea that
provides entertainment programs to schools and community groups. Stuart is also an active volunteer for the RSPCA Victoria
and has recently developed a program to house sick and unwanted reptiles on behalf of the Department for Sustainability
and environment before they can be rehabilitated and re-homed.
